I have been lurking here quite some time and I feel that I have not met myself living in an 'alpha' way, nor a 'beta' way. After the diagnosis (retinitis pigmentosa, an degenerative eye disease) at the opthalomogist office, it sent me into dark place which I have acknowledged right now.

I messed up my audio engineering degree more of, been getting wasted all weekends since the diagnosis. Friday I go out and it lasts til sunday. Then there is this dreaded hangover which lasts even days.

I have lost the interest in so many things, especially in university, feeling that I am wasting time learning something I like more of, but being visually impaired sets me into a dim light in terms of the profession (cant see in the dark and have lost peripheral vision).

I have many debts at the moment, dont know where to go with life right now. Getting wasted and hustling does not seem also like a sustainable way of living. I am lost.

Anyone got any tips on how to kick this destructive lifestyle or what to suggest to do?
