Unless you have a LP40 or look like Brad Pitt chances are very small but possible that a girl may approach you.

If you approach, the percentage of getting a girl will be immensely higher.

the ultimate goal is that you are so successful that women approach you because you are such high value. this shows that the women wants you more than you want her and that you have the power to choose.

the chances that you are this high value are slim to none. this is what your friend indirectly suggested, which wont work for you. so your only bet is to approach.

I woman would in pretty much all cases not approach ypu randomly at the mall. But in clubs/bars/school the chance is higher they will aproach you.

But for a girl to aproach they usually need a reason or an excuse to talk to you. That could be asking fpr help on a question at school, asking what drink or beer youre drinking.

I have had girls asking "Is that beer youre drinking?" When I had a Corona bottle in my hand...

But ik total you should be doing the approaching, your chances multiply alot. And you actually get to work on your game and improve. You can aproach pretty much anywhere you see a girl. The mall is a great place.
