Today my brother is supposed to be flying out to visit my mother for her birthday but we've just got the news that he's not coming. As I'm posting for help in this sub you can already guess what the reason for this is...

In case it's not immediately obvious, it's a woman. But not a pleasant one, I'm certain she's BPD. She threatens to kill herself often and he's so soft it works every time. She wants him to have nothing to do with his family and she's slowly getting her way.

He knows deep down that this isn't right but she's got him trapped somehow. I don't know the intimacies of their relationship as I want nothing to do with her and her bland self so I don't really know what she's doing to toy with him. All I know is that she treats his two girls very well and it certainly isn't because she loves them, she is manipulating him to think that he needs her.

I suppose my question is this, how can I reach out to him to make him realise? I'm sure there isn't much I can do, it's a kind of self-actualision that needs to take place, but there must be something I can do to prod him in the right direction? I'm going to send him a message now but I don't know what to write
