I've casually played poker for 10+ years. There is a big tournament that annually occurs in my city. I bought in for $200. Top prize is $11k. I figure I probably won't win, but it'll be fun. Set my mind on something different. (Aside from Texas Hold'em, I never gamble and it won't become an addiction).

The more I think about it, the more I realize poker is similar to TRP values. You want to be top dog. You make the most out of what you're given. You have strong social skills. You exhibit full confidence, even when you are weak. You have a purpose. And so on.

So do you play poker? Especially in live tournaments. If so, what are some tips to maximize my success?
