I went to a party tonight that was a loose friend of a friend type thing but I've been wanting to go to the venue so I decided to go and not drink so I could just drive home at any time bc the guy who invited me is sketchy. It was a group of three guys and three girls and we were enjoying ourselves for a bit. One guy was being really suggestive and hitting on me and I was thinking about how the old me would have enjoyed the attention but the new me was just going to sit back and observe.

As the night went on everyone else is drinking and I see two of the guys flirt with basically every girl really heavily while they both have girlfriends that weren't there. One guy was basically about to sleep with this woman 15 years older than him who was drunkenly hitting on him back. Totally open about his nice sweet gf who he's with. Like it does not cross these mens minds that what they are doing is horrifying. Eventually two of the guys started talking about how they each have 3-4 girls they think they could pimp out right now if they wanted to and how if/when they do it they take 80/20 or a 60/40 cut of the cash. They even said they would tell the girl they had to fuck the guy for free the first time and then pocket the $1k the guy gave them.

I'm 34. I grew up in a religious family and I knew I was sheltered but the process of realizing how awful men really are is so hard. I just don't understand how people like this exist and go about their lives as if it's normal to do something that I honestly feel is evil? Like they are talking about rape. And laughing. I'm home safe now and I def won't be speaking to the guy ever again. Getting to go to a cool place was not worth having to have those thoughts in my head, but I guess I'm also thankful because it will help me stay far away from men.
