Hi all! New to this sub.

I was dating this guy maybe a month or two ago for about 2 months before he dumped me because he wasn’t ready for a relationship. A lot of bullshit saying it was one sided and my needs weren’t being met (even though I insisted they were). I stupidly agreed to staying friends and hooking up. I graduated college and headed home for the summer and after he insisted that we stay in contact he out of the blue messages me and said “since we broke up I need time and don’t want to talk to you anymore. Good luck”. Obviously that’s shortening things. I deleted his number from my phone to avoid reaching out to him but I just now blocked his number. Right decision, right? No one just changes their mind and is suddenly enlightened about what they missed out on. And even if he did I shouldn’t want him back.

The thing is I really like him. Saw so many qualities I wanted out of a partner in him. But like you all always say, don’t date a project. And boy was he an emotional wreck. Anyways, he did say that the door on our story wasn’t closed and that it didn’t necessarily mean that he didn’t want to be with me in the future. And that’s why I worry about blocking him.

Please please just tell me I’m doing the right thing. Be harsh. Because all the signs say he won’t suddenly come crawling back to me but I think I’m too blind to see them.

Thanks
