To further glorify our society of accepting mediocrity. If a man was truly capable and successful, what does he need a woman for? He would have tons of women. Popular culture also portrays the most successful men as guys who are single and get all the women. Yet sticking to blue pill principles and bullshit feminist rhetoric they will still create some flaw about the guy as to why he is single.

They make men look stupid in commercials as well. No wonder why more and more men are dropping out of school and college nowadays. They have no more good role models to look up to.

For one, I would give Homer Simpson a pass, at least in the first 6 or 7 seasons or so, where he was a bumbling idiot but had a big heart and could learn from his mistakes. Now he's just there as a goof. And it's worse with Peter Griffin who's now a giant asshole with a possible mental retardation who hurts people just for fun.

As for Tim Taylor, as much as I've gotten a bit of a liking for the show, it reminds me why I didn't like it as a kid. Tim is the stereotype of a troglodyke who likes fucking up simple tasks because he's too manly to read instructions or listen to advice from the more calm and knowledgeable Al. And it doesn't help that they portray Jill as this sort of angelic MILF that has to put up with her sexist husband and also wants to be strong and independent, a 90s feminist.

As for Phil Dunphy, he's my favorite character in Modern Family, defects and all. He's definitely a caring and smart dad, even if a bit absent minded, which is why it sucks when he's portrayed as an dumb, ignorant, even neglectful moron and Claire as yet another poor MILF that has to put up with her dipshit husband. And it doesn't help that their kids consist of the older jailbait slut, the idiot, perhaps autistic, middle boy, and the nerd, smartass nerd girl who may or may not be a feminist in its cocoon. And I gotta say for the rest of the show, Modern Family might be considered "progressive" but it still relies on stereotypes that should be considered antiquated except when convenient.
