My 20’s can be summed up as wasting years at university (degreeless), making and losing a fortune, travelling for extended periods of time and reforging my identity from a couple of LTR’s.

Prior to covid I decided to move back home temporarily for a 6-month job term to make decent money. Once the lockdown happened they extended me, and now I have until November until this term ends. They want to extend me for a third time but I dread staying in my hometown.

Through discovering my primary life goal im currently studying my first year of engineering (part time online) and full time in fall, all the while working full time. My plan was to move to the city of the university im studying at, but since all classes are online until at least January I figured I may as well no life it and keep banking. Currently im investing 80% of my income split between index funds and Ethereum (holding a bunch of cash too in case markets crash). Also been lifting as a lifestyle for about 5 years, so im in maintenance mode while focusing my creative energy on other avenues of my life. My day consists of: Work, lift, study/homework, yoga/meditation, piano, nature walk with dog, cook, read spiritual literature.

I know this is the wise decision as I can let my investments coast while I finish my degree, and paying for rent/vehicle just sinks this future financial potential away. This was my plan for 6 months but now it has the potential to be 18 months and it terrifies me.

The problem is this lifestyle leads to a very closed off social life as I never want to have to meet someone and explain the fact I live at my parents and use their vehicle. It’s becoming emotionally difficult living this way, for example getting IOI from girls at work and never pursuing beyond superficial conversation. I don’t want to waste my time texting and I definitely don’t want to try and work around my living situation in person.

  1. Is this proper use of monk mode? It’s been months now and nothing has really changed, besides small improvements. Because I reinvest everything, it never manifests outward. EX: I make good money, but I invest it (no social status), I learn piano and apply that skill into playing more piano. I take care of my brain and body but use that growth to study more / lift heavier.
  2. Is it ever worth leaving income on the table to leave a somewhat stagnant and lonely personal living situation?
  3. How the hell can you even meet a girl who doesn’t turn into a massive distraction? My daily routine takes up nearly all my day, and every relationship I’ve been in, while enjoyable, has been a massive time commitment that ultimately led to stagnation.

The only solution I can come up with besides no-lifing it for 6-12 for more months, is customizing a van / jeep to live in. That'd save rent money at university allowing me to further invest some monthly payments I will receive. But then im living in a vehicle parked in an unknown location once I do move.

I appreciate any advice .
