They might have been deaf but they weren't blind nor they were tactile impaired. Of course they knew they were aware that they were abusing a 6 year old.

Also notice that the two events were 5 months apart and both were in England although one of the articles is by the Daily Mail (who I've noticed is very left leaning) and I can't tell what publication is the other one. Just in this we can draw conclusions on the state of the English law system
