As others have mentioned, your beard depends on your genetics (as much as body hair or going bald with age).

I think that the smartest approach is to let it grow for some time and look for "famous people" that have the same facial hair structure and see how they shave, adapt their style, etc.

By your description you could think of people like Johnny Depp, who don't have enough facial hair for growing a full beard. He just shaves where the hair is weak and lets grow his mustache, chin and jaw (sometimes).

I know people obsessed with beards that have been growing it for years trying to push a style that don't really match their "hair capacities".

My advice is to embrace the hair you have and adapt your beard style to it.

If you want a beard and can't grow one, minoxidil is your friend.

I grow patches too, but I grow enough hair to have a "beard combover", giving the illusion of a full beard. Doesn't last long as I always get it trimmed at the barber.

It may never grow in the way you want it to.

My problem is the hair on the right side of my chin grows more slowly than the hair on the left. For a while, it looked a bit lopsided.

How old are you? I have a pretty nice beard in my early thirties. Couldnt grow a full thick one until mid 20s at least. My father had a nice beard for as long as i can remember. My older brothers as well, one of them got sent home from middle school for not shaving his beard lol. Just go with what you can grow like others have said. If your cheeks don't grow in thick, high up on your face to where you look like a monkey, imo i wouldn't try to grow a full beard. I was clean shaven until i realized my hair was growing in thick enough for a beard. Sometimes it just takes time. I know a lot of Asian/ Hispanic men that have no chance of growing a beard in their life.

beard depends on genetics. but some products try to help. or you can use some style that can look good( I've used a von dyke style for years.)

Fat-soluble vitamins, intermittent fasting, forskolin, regular exercise, sunlight. These help max out the genetics, but, won't change them. Anyway, it's good for overall health to add a little more ADEK. Important note: stop shaving, start trimming it very short - 3-5mm. It will usually look decent and give time for slower growing hair to catch up. After few months start trimming to 5-10mm. It's not much, but works for guys with less facial hair. And if it doesn't, beard is short and easy to get rid of anyway.

No it wont grow.

I can grow a fantastic beard and i have for 4 months. Too much time. Plus i do sweat a lot because i use my bike and go to the gym almost everyday... So a beard is unfeasible for ,me
