Hi, early 20's male here. I have bipolar disorder and hypersomnia. Thanks to redpill, support groups, therapy, medicine and a couple other reddit subs i'm actually doing pretty good.

My weight is good i'm 179 6'2. My mood is good most days I feel in the middle(which if your bipolar you aim for). My hypersomnia is alot of work. But I went from sleep 12 to 14 hours a day to sleeping 8 to 10 on average.

Anyways the reason I don't want kids, is because it takes all my energy to take care of me. I can also become depressed again or start sleeping to much again. Although I trust i'll always get symptom free again. I know i'll eventually have a bought of depression again and mania. Even if it's only one or two more times.

So i'm going to the doctors on the 14th to talk to a surgeon about a vasectomy. I want to take away my ability to have kids, because when i'm maniac I have no impulse control and girls still have sex with me during these times. It's risky business. I don't want a child because the amount of work it is going to be. It maybe to much and mentally break me. It takes all my effort to take care of me. I don't feel strong enough to ever take care of a whole family. I truly feel like it'd be a rough ride for us.

Finally, isn't my reasoning good for not having kids and focusing on me or am I way off? Anyone here like me bipolar or major depression or hypersomnia, etc and have kids?
