I began to reject feminism while I was in college. I realized that it wasn't promoting equality, but was more about further dividing people. I decided that I really didn't want any part of that.

I am 14 years old, liberal, and a female, seems like I'd be the token target for feminism, right? I only started getting into politics in the last year or so, but my reasoning is quite simple. Feminism does not perpetuate equality. Plain and simple. Why do I need to join a so called 'movement' to believe in equal rights? With so many different branches of feminism, the label itself has become so broad, that even feminists themselves can't agree what they stand for. With the name itself, you can't discern a TERF from a misandrist from a liberal feminist (I like to call it Buzzfeed feminism.) They genuinely believe that the patriarchy (which doesn't exist), is more harmful than the matriarchy. I often argue with these sort of Buzzfeed feminists on Twitter and Reddit, and whenever I mention my age, they say shit like "this makes me worried for the next generation" or "this is why we need feminism", and my favourite: internalized misogyny. They have no logic, and need to get a fresh breath of reality. If me, a 14 y.o can get it, these 20-30 y.o American millennials have no excuse.

dont need it. I can take responsibility for my actions, subject of education, where I work, how I look, who I date etc. and I dont need to conform to a narrative that blames everyone but themselves. I'll do what makes me happy and having people telling me that they're wrong just because it is bad or some feeble excuse is of disinterest.

granted, this is referencing more extreme feminism (the kind we mostly think about tbf).

When you’re a woman, you grow up in a world that tells you that you don’t get equal pay, you are lesser compared to men and that you still don’t have equal rights. Who wants to grow up thinking like that? We’re told that stuff by feminism and it’s all based on lies. Also we don’t have to subscribe to a movement to fight for equality. Feminism has hurt both men and women. It puts women down and says that we’ll never be good enough so we become victims. They also demonize all men based on the actions of a few bad apples. I don’t want to be part of a movement that ridiculed anyone. They also act as if white men and women have more privilege. Here’s a hint. We don’t. We all have advantages and disadvantages in our lives. As an example, I’m disabled. I have a lot of trouble with stuff like motor skills, but I’m great at many other things like art. When someone says you have privilege, they just want something to whine about. And that’s what feminists do a lot which is why I’m not associating myself with them.

Also feminism can’t seem to agree on what it’s goal is. You have the TERFs, the sex positive and the sex negative feminists all under the same label. PICK ONE MY GOD! A lot of the stuff that they claim to fight for, we already have. I’m also pissed that it’s ruining my favorite hobby which is video games. Screw you Anita Sarkeesian!

I am from australia and im female and 17 years old and all i see on my local news shoes are presenters who still seem to present this idea that women are oppressed and face hardships purely based on their gender that a man would never have to go through just because he's a man. All i see is this idea and i couldn't disagree more with all their viewpoints, i have lived 17 years and i have never once experienced any hardships JUST because im a female, maybe i haven't lived long enough but i find it very hard to believe that many of the females especially from my generation and country would face many hard ships JUST because of their gender so i hate that the media makes it seem like women are oppressed, we are not. Just pure facts, men live shorter lives and currently have higher suicide rates, men could have their lives and careers ruined by a women saying she's been sexually assaulted by them when in some cases, the accusations are completely false, but everyone believes the woman anyway.Don't even get me started with feminists levels of double standards... Any white man expresses an opinion on feminism that they don't like "your opinion doesn't matter because you're a privileged white male." This doesn't even scratch the surface on all the things that i disagree with

They say they stand for equality but do nothing but drag down and hate not only men but WOMEN who may disagree with them. They are all so over emotional you can't even have a conversation. triggered feminist my be an over used term but it's true. There is so much tacked on to it you have to support now too, not all i agree with. Now ik not all are like this, but the majority are. And i have nothing wrong with the theory of feminism , but we as women should be supporting and helping ALL women. And i think feminism's fight should be turned to fight for the women who are ACTUALLY oppressed in other countries.

This may be an unpopular opinion, both here and there, but I reject feminism because I strongly believe in gender roles. I feel women are more nurturing and create a lovely home, and men are stronger and can protect and provide for me and my children.

I believe women should have equal rights when it comes to abuse, protection, and equal pay for equal work, but in the household I choose for myself, my husband is the leader, and I will follow his lead and do what he says.

Feminists should respect that this is my choice as a woman to be submissive and embrace traditional gender roles.

When I was a middle schooler I realized that men can experience sexism too and femenists were making woman more powerful, not making everyone equal.
