I know which brands I like and which brands look good on me.

I get trousers tailored if I need to but 90% of the time, I buy something because it looks good on me at the time, and in the future if my body changes, I get it tailored.

Try lots of different brands out and find the one that works best for your body. Much cheaper in the long run than getting everything you ever buy tailored.

Depending on your style, different fits of clothes will be in there.

On average I thrift for baggier shirts (streetwear aesthetic). If I want fitted, more casual shirts, I hit up Gildan / Uniqlo, polo etc. This is all trial and error.

80% of my pants are tailored by women I know. Pants MAKE your outfits.

Pro tip: Take time to get measurements of your body. You'll know what brands work for you by checking their measurements (esp. if you online shop).

A tailor is your best friend though.

No tailoring here... yet. But I'm having extreme difficult my finding jeans. I may have to buy big and tailor in the waists. Tops are fine, though even large sizes are tight on my upper body.

Bella Canvas 3001 heather and Gildan 64000 softstyle are two shirt models that I use for my online store. They're pretty form-fitting. You can buy singles pretty cheaply on Amazon, ebay, etc. The BC is about 50% cotton 50% polyester and the Gildan is 100% cotton.

My favorites are H&M solid color tees. They contain 5% spandex and hug my muscles well. Something like $10 a pop in store.

Pants are difficult if you squat, as most pants are designed for skinny soy boys and fat fucks. I found that Express athletic cut jeans fit me pretty well off the rack.

I buy fitted options, AND get my clothes tailored. No every option off the rack is going to work. Even some "tailored" off the rack stuff will be huge on a guy who is fit....or if you buy a size that fits your body, the sleeves and length will be short.

So sometimes a tailor is key. Other times you can buy off the rack. Which every way you go, you want your clothes to.dit nicely but not be too tight.....you want to show off you frame without looking like your desperately trying to do so.
