I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 1,5 year know and I love him to bits. Our relationship has always been smooth and fun but these past 2 months we have had some issues we eventually resolved. I found out he was talking to some girls online and even though we spoke about what happened, it did leave me feeling a bit insecure, but I definitely did not tell him that.

Not too long ago, he mentioned that I’m bad at expressing my emotions/love for him and that I’m bad at being affectionate. I agree with him on this. I believe this comes from me trying not to get hurt again even though I forgave him for what happened meaning I need to move past it. His love language is physical touch, which is difficult to express as we don’t see each other often due to work and travel time.

This is my first relationship and I have a lot of learning to do (I’m completely open for that as this is someone I see myself spending my future with).

So I have a few questions:

How do women “play their role” in relationships? How can I express my love for him/be more affectionate. Being through messages and when I see him? I need help.

Thanks!
