Hey guys, so I(20M) took the last semester of college off to get my shit figured out and get focused. I came back to my college city a couple of weeks ago and am living in a new apartment with 2 friends, bought a car, and things are really looking up. I’m ready to go my own way and make something for myself.

However, college is expensive and my mom is paying for the majority of all of the expenses surrounding it because she divorce raped my step dad last year and has a bunch of money. My dad is doing well for himself, owns his own business, has a nice house, cars, etc. but is going through a tough time and doesn’t think college is worth paying for especially during corona. His girlfriend is an absolute psycho and so are her kids. Thankfully they all temporarily left and are living in San Diego. Before they left her and her basement dwelling son both expressed strong concern multiple times that my dad and I were going to murder them. My sister and I had an incident where two drug addicted homeless people were stalking us and trespassing on our property for multiple weeks and finally enough was enough and my dad decided to bring guns into the house after I saw them on our roof. Keep in mind they are all staunch lefties so this is where the problems started.

Anyway, my dad is going through a very tough time and I can tell he is unraveling a little bit. A couple of days ago he drafted an email to my mom threatening to sue for 18 years of unpaid child support for my sister and I, and threatened to get a restraining order if my mom contacts him ever again. While normally I would support this given my mom is a snake of the first order, it would throw a huge wrench into my plans and the situation at home would be an absolute shit show for a long time. I’m not sure if he will follow through with sending the email but he will not talk to me about it at all. I only know because of my sister. I know it’s because he can tell I’m doing well down here and doesn’t want to ruin that or whatever but I still wish we could talk about it.

What should I do?
