I'm a Senior Developer.

At my last place, the company (large corp that I won't name) had a 50/50 policy with gender quotas for Developers; it soon became clear that the male Developers were doing 80% of the work, whilst the remaining 20% (mundane simple tasks that didn't even require a Developer) was done by women. Management knew about this, the knew that the female Developers could get away with refusing to do the more complex tasks, due to the drama they would create when they were not happy.

I'm now working for a smaller company, with an all male team of Developers; everyone is expected to put in 110% effort, everyone is expected to put in extra hours when needed, everyone is expected to do 15 hours straight to complete a deployment. And, if they don't, they are called out by the rest of the team and shamed.

I prefer working in my current team :-)

I work in infrastructure operations. 90% men. I work with really talented software developers and project managers. It can get really stressful and short deadlines to deliver projects. Women can’t handle it. A small oversight can cause millions in supplemental costs. Accountability is huge part of the job and being able to identify when you fucked up before it gets huge. Thankfully women only come in for one quarter, decide they can’t handle it and leave.

Lucky. Reminds me of my Army days. Infantry Battalion. No women to complicate simple things. Shit got done. No worrying about sexual harassment claims for telling jokes. Just bros hanging out and joking, or working hard and doing their jobs. May this job amd trend continue for you.

When I saw the headline I thought you meant that women were employed at your place of work, but that the women didn't do work...

What you describe, however, is much better.
