Been wanting to learn how to ride. What do you recommend if I have no experience? Classes?

I would. My dad has been raving bikes and cars since he was 16, so hes been teaching my brother and I. If you know someone who has their class 6 license (this is for Alberta, Canada) you can ride a bike with them as long as you stay within close proximity.

If you are in the US, seek out a MSF, Honda, or even Harley beginners course. After that, start small cheap and used. You can learn without living in fear of the throttle or simple drops, and you can sell later for little or no loss. Look for a local forum or group of actual mature sensible riders to ride with. Stay out of the really twisty stuff until you are comfortable leaning and stopping. Don't ride beyond your vision.

Nice. There are a lot performance mods you can do with that bike due to the fact that it uses the same engine as the old Ninja 500.

Would you recommend a Vulcan for traveling? I'm considering older Gold Wing as they're equipped for long travel from factory, but Vulcans are cheaper and more abundant in my area

I've only really done a few hours trips at a time, but it has no issue keeping up with my dads maurader, or my brothers shadow spirit. It pulls good, easy to handle, comfortable and light. I bought mine for cash for $2350 and it came with brand new saddlebags and a windscreen so, I'd say it was a good deal
