Movies require tension and conflict and attraction between leading couples, this is why the woman is usually strong in an obnoxious way.
Feminine does not mean a woman lacks conviction, personality, isn't smart, or can't be the best either. it's all about how she displays and expresses those things.
Older movies will have many examples of feminine women with lots of spirit. Gone With The Wind features a volatile and feminine main character. She just happens to have positive and negative feminine traits. A trait is neither inherently good nor bad just because it is masculine. The same applies to feminine traits.

A user is commiserating about frustrating patterns she has noticed in movies. Your comment is not a compassionate one, nor does it set the tone for an insightful discussion. Your flippancy is more likely to put OP on the defense, which would be unfortunate.
A better, and more productive choice would be to share examples that also bother you, recommend alternate media to look into, or simply refrain from replying and move to another thread.
Criticism and honesty have their place, especially when a user is in crisis and doesn't seem to be listening. This comment serves nothing except possibly your own ego.
I am saddened that you would make this choice, and that others have upvoted it. This community is meant to be a haven for RP women, and at least one place where we can have fun, learn, and share.

Your comment is the reason OP deleted the post. There was no assumption. I was very careful to be both firm and polite with you.
This conversation is not beneficial. Be more considerate and thoughtful when you comment in the future, or at least be detailed enough that multiple people do not mistake your tone for condescension.
I am ignoring your bite back in this response, I will not do so again if you insist on continuing in the same manner.

On the last post I made, someone pointed out to me that women have to try harder to be seen as equally competent in male-dominated fields. They may not actually want to "be the best", but topping the field is a good way for a woman to gain respect from the vast majority of men she works with.
I don't think men consider us less of a woman because we're weaker at certain skills. They consider us less of a man, which is the face that we put on in the professional world and the one we ask to be evaluated by.
