I say don't play games like pulling away for no reason but like others are saying, if she's the one pulling away and acting different first then you should focus on other stuff and pull back some but it's important to not do this from a place of spite... you should only be doing it because you are focused on what's best for you and you simply feel like your attention would be better spent elsewhere.

Read the sidebar and learn how to be attractive instead relying on stupid games. You'll get a hell of a lot further with learning proper game. Pulling away will usually facilitate her quickly moving on to someone else.

Average women don't really need a lot of negative pressure. A single day of withdrawing attention can change things, but there's no rule of thumb as emotions are unpredictable, and you don't know how many irons she has in the fire; she may actually be acting with a greater abundance mentality than you.

Something low pressure, but not low effort should strike a balance, depending on your normal interaction.

For example, if you text/message every day, taking a day off will maintain your perceived SMV and start her hamster up. By contrast, if you just give "low effort" consistent replies instead of doing the mental labor, this will tone down attraction, not increase it. Just be aware, if she's not emotionally competent, she could be in a heightened emotional state that you haven't encountered before, so it's not like there's no risk involved with something as simple as stepping back for 24 hours.
