Hi everyone,

I've been in a LTR for about 8 months. I make about 85k a year and gf makes about 30k and is also still in school. I tend to try and pay more often than she does for dates, etc. but she always tells me that i spend too much money on her (I like buying my girlfriends gifts and stuff spontanesouly) and that she doesn't want me paying all the time, but then will always end up letting me pay when I insist. I am later 20s and have over 100k in savings, also have it in my budget to spend x $$ amount per month on girlfriend/dating, so the money is not an issue for me. I just don't know if I should let her pay more often when she tries to pay / tries to venmo me for dinner/dates and stuff. Like she is always saying "i am not the type of girl that needs a guy to pay for her." Would this be better for me to split things more often? Would she be happier or less happy in the relationship if I let her get dinner and stuff more often? Does anyone understand the type of thing I am talking about? Like saying she doesn't want me to pay but then being really happy when I do and letting me when I insist on it?
