No, youre absolutely right. When I think of who this girl is talking about, I’m kinda thinking of more so the social media “influencers”, the Kylie Jenners, promoting unrealistic beauty standards and brainwashing a whole new generation of young girls into believing that’s where their worth lies. It’s quite sad. I don’t think there are nearly as many female good role models (I.e. businesswomen, researchers, scientists) that we hear about in the news unlike men (the Elon Musks, the Warren Buffets). Probably bc it’s not as much of a moneymaker as objectifying us is. Sigh, It’ll probably be another 50 years until attitudes really start to change, and we’ll (hopefully) look back at how women are still being treated right now in disgust and a stain embedded in human history the way we look back on other injustices of the past. Sorry rant over lol
