Met a girl (She is 20, I'm 24), she is new in my city, moved with college. Hung out a few times 1on1 and we click so well together is unbelievable. I was 100% sure she was interested in me, no way I misread the signs.

Then she indirectly mentions she has a boyfriend (Total plot twist for me), then she tells me it's a bad relationship (he is possessive, all that) long distance too (he is joining Army + she moved to my city with college) and she knows they will eventually break up soon, it's inevitable.

She wanted us to be friends first, (She said "but..that's how I started all my relationships) and I came to a conclusion she is looking for someone new (especially since she got Tinder and she desperately wants new friends, and she told me she's afraid of being single) .

What would be my best option to get with her?:

  1. Should I be her friend (even I don't want to settle only as friends)?
  2. Should I still be close to her, be clear on my intentions and wait for them to break up?
  3. Should I tell her straight away to contact me when she is single? Wouldn't be that too aggressive?

I go with the "She was never yours, it's only your turn" mentality, well now could be my turn haha.
