I think it's an effort to get what you want but live life on easy mode. I'm no philosopher, but think if you had a choice; you believe in the patriarchy and want to crush it. You can either devote yourself to a career, giving up all of your leisure time in order to advance yourself. After decades of hard and calculating work, making a great deal of money for other people, you will have attained influence and respect. You can now use this influence and respect to encourage younger women to devote themselves to their careers, giving up all of their leisure time in order to advance themselves.

Or, you can believe that chanting a six-syllable prayer while burning a couple of candles and some sage (all of which another "witch" is willing to sell you for $25.95) will somehow make men in positions of high power leave them so that women can take their places...and that somehow the knowledge, connections and experience that the men gained on their long, slow climb aren't required for the job.
