Polyamory sounds great on paper. The issue is that humans are selfish and unwilling to compromise fairly unless they have to...especially when it comes to sex.

So you end up with one person having an advantage and it destroys the relationship via the power he/she holds over the other.

Even long running ones end up falling apart due to this as the power can shift to the other side who isn’t selfless or the person decides to stop being selfless.

So most fail or one accepts getting way less sexual access.

I find the only ones that work is when the man has the advantage and is selfless or the women doesn’t care about sex much anymore and is more doing it to please the husband.

Spoiler: Even if you manage to find a poly female that is willing to be a beta or second, your primary partner will regularly lose her shit.

This has been tested over and over. Most notoriously in the hippy compounds, where EVERYTHING was shared. Well, after a while, people stopped being happy about other people taking their wives/husbands whenever they wanted, and the compounds just kinda dissolved.

Women are emotional. Mixing sex and multiple partners with an overly emotional child only ends in disaster, but only for the man. Like others have said, sounds great on paper, but as soon as someone catches feelings....it's going to end in a shit show.
