I might be asking this in the wrong community, but to me being "red pilled" isn't about just a strategy for getting girls, it's about living life on your own terms and maximizing your income while enjoying your hobbies. It's about doing what you want to do and when you want to do it, which is why it works so well for getting chicks - girls can sense alpha better than anything else.
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a doctor, specifically a surgeon. After high school I became an EMT. I loved it, but the money was shit so shortly after I became a driver, manager, and later part-time owner of a cleaning business (all while doing EMT part time).
As my EMT license was about to expire, I had a crazy moment where I realized that one day I would die, and that I will regret not following my dreams. I subsequently sold my share of the cleaning business in order to pursue my dream. Years later I've went back to school, aced all my required courses, and am halfway done with a masters+thesis to make me an attractive applicant for med school.
Now that I'm ready to apply to medical school, I feel like this career isn't "red pilled". Most physicians I know describe their life as beta (providers, yes men who are happy to marry a woman who will sit at home while they slave 9-5 (or longer) to make a hospital 5-10x what they're getting paid. Or maybe I am jaded.
In order to get to where I am, I've had to do a lot of ass-kissing, asking for letters of recommendation, sacrificing my free time, and doing shit I don't want to do in order to meet some end goal. If I go to medical school (4 years), + residency (3 years), then I'll end up doing a bunch more of that. By the time I'm a surgeon I'll be in my mid 30s.
It's so hard for me to conceptualize that my dream career, which will inevitably consume most of my life (due to the nature of the work + path), is beta in nature. It goes against the very fiber of my existence and I'm not sure I can handle being an ass-kissing employee who bows down to their boss.
Can anyone offer advice on this situation? Any current medical students/physicians experience similar feelings towards their career?
