That means don't overdue it, give her validation in the form of NONSEXUAL ATTENTION only sparingly. Any other praise or validation should be when you are tearing her ass up.

Dude you’re overthinking too much. Saying “nice, that’s great” or congratulating someone for achieving their goal(s) isn’t showing serious concern. She is right though, you probably didn’t care. She didn’t have to add that part but she told you anyway. Ok cool.

You saying nice is just small praise, you don’t have to say “I’m impressed” because she’s not trying impressing you. You showing concern would be like “I’m glad you got accepted, I was worried they’d deny you” or something along those lines is showing concern.
