1) I'm a DJ. Deejayed a stag. 3 girls approached as I setup my gear asking for night requests. HB8 shy girl in group giving IOIs.

Deejayed all night, focus on having fun and making sure audience did too. No intent to pickup as I'm providing a charged service.

Random bro at near end night approaches asking my age (I'm 22) and says HB8 from night start wants to slow dance. Look to see Hb8 in back of dance hall curling hair eyeing me.

Setup dj slow song and approach maintaining eye contact with slight smirk. Hold out hand and say 'wanna dance with the superstar dj.' We slow dance one song, other couples slow dancing cheer us on. Dance for 2mins before I dip to my booth to transition into next song.

Last song played, start dj teardown. HB8 comes up to my booth with her phone. We exchange numbers, long intimidate hug (5 seconds). She says bye text me I reply teasing saying maybe I will

Event was Saturday night/ early Sunday morning.

I text HB8 Sunday night straight to logistics:

hey (name) it's (my name), the dj you couldn't keep your eyes off of.

I'm getting drinks Tues night, join me

(No reply from hb8)

Reflection: I feel logistics was too open ended and too soon. I didn't state time or.location. I also feel I texted was too soon, coming off as needy and not valuing my time. The eyes off the deejay part may been perceived as arrogant versus playful cocky due to no emoticons

I'm pretty RP new so wondering What are your thoughts on how I did and my reflection?
