Lately I've been getting out and doing things where there are a lot of people. My biggest hobby/interest is music, so I've been to a couple concerts in the past week with the intention of putting myself out more and talking to people whilst having a good time.

Although I do enjoy myself at the shows, I feel kind of alone, like I'm not getting the full experience, because I never really interact with anyone while I'm there. I'm always thinking about trying to talk to someone but I just never know what to say. Here or there I might hear someone say something, and insert a comment about it, but it never really goes anywhere.

I'm not really the guy who stands in the corner. I'm in the thick of it the whole time, and I dance around, sing along, etc. but at the end of the night that's all it is. No new friendships or interactions.

I have had a couple chubby-ish girls talk to me, and that's nice and everything, but I don't have much to say to them either (side question: what does it say about my SMV if chubby-ish girls try to talk to me? Would you expect the hotter ones to be open to approaches from me if the chubby-ish ones openly approach me? And before you ask--yes I lift, and people at work notice)

Those of you who do similar things--go to concerts, clubbing, etc., how do you get a feel for interacting with people? I'm not totally awkward but I just don't have much to say most of the time. I've told myself "this night I'm going to walk out with a friend" but every time it never happens.

Any insight and/or help is appreciated.
