Your lizard brain has got it half right. You're depressed because you're 20 and dependant on your parents. Get a job, save money and move out into a cheap place by yourself. You'll feel much better

Running off to be a homeless bum is a pussy move.

It's effectively one step back from suicide on the pathway of running away from problems.

If you are going to leave do it for a positive reason like a job or education. Manning up would be something like leaving to join the military because you believe you can do it and understanding that the very regimented life might benefit you.

Otherwise instead of all this shite about not deserving their help you should be thanking them for everything they've done and repaying them by working towards fixing your issues.

You need to get the basics right first. Eat right, sleep enough, drink enough water. Then get some discipline in your life and work from there.

Mental health is often not an easy fix but you owe it to yourself and your family to actually work towards fixing it.
