I truly believed as a self proclaimed feminist that it was rightful to demand justice for both sexes, until I realized how that very thought process was internalized misogyny. I always let LVM run over me and brushed off their traits as 'this is just how men are, and it' problematic' without taking controlled action.
Few months back, one of my acquaintances who happened to be friends with someone I was dating started sharing her uncomfortable experiences with a common friend we had, who turned out to be an assaulter. This was the same man I assumed was a HVM because he was always vocal about supporting women's issues and calling out other men for their wrong doings. I was beyond shocked and so upset that I regarded a perpetrator in high regard. Needless to say, my acquaintance shared this community with me and we're now on good terms after sharing each others' painful experiences with men around us. We've both cut off the entire group of these LVM from our lives.
After joining this community, I finally grasped the wrong things I'd kept up with all these years from LVM and have been constantly educated about what FDS truly stands for, now sharing the same principles as all other bright, intelligent and truly amazing females in this community.
