We didn't date for very long. It was only 9 dates/hangouts in total spread over two months between August and September (mostly in August). But there were some really fun dates. There was a lot of chemistry between us and we clearly liked each other. I certainly was very into her. Then after she switched to a new job, she became really busy and started traveling a lot (both are genuinely true). It was very difficult for us to find time to see each other.
When she came back from a trip abroad and forgot about a promise she had made (I got her something for her birthday before she left and she promised that we would see each other again after she comes back and she would have something for me too - but when she did come back, she had forgotten about the present and had to go out of town for a wedding, and no time to see me), I made the mistake of showing my emotion and sent a few needy texts . She pushed back: said we are not on the same page, that I am taking it more seriously than she and that we should take a step back. I was pretty sad to read her response but stayed calm and thought she just wanted to take it more slowly. So I dialed back my interaction with her while she left for another trip abroad.
When she came back from her second trip, I invited her to go to a really popular/sold out event with me. She said she would love to come but just as a friend. I didn't want to get into a serious discussion about this over text and plus just wanted to see her in person first, so I said cool and told her where and when to meet.
On the day of the event (this was last Saturday), she never responded to my text and never showed up despite knowing that I saved a sought-after ticket for her. There has been zero communication between us since then (we are still facebook/snapchat friends).
Should I stick to no-contact and move on? Or is there something I should tell her? It's been pretty hard since it kinda just ended suddenly and a lot of things were just left unsaid. I can't stop blaming myself for the neediness I displayed in a moment of weakness that pushed her away.
