I read this thread and hopefully it answers the OP. OP believes that since men don't want to be friends with a single woman there is no respect. Friendship for men is very different; it is based on loyalty, respect and being there for each other, qualities that women struggle with. As men we solve problems that's why the pot-head in my cycle will get laid, me being a wingman, i can crash at my pot heads friend for days., when i'm broke, the pothead will cover all the rounds at the bar without complaining and the reverse is true when the situation changes...i mean we follow the bro-codes.

I dont personally understand why men cannot view women as their equal respectable friends. Why is it that there has to be feelings like that envolved in order to get decent treatment? Why cant a man just see a woman simply as platonic company? Why is sex appeal the only respectable part of women to a man? Thats not basic nor is it genuine respect for a woman.

Friendship with women.. i don't think so, probably we can be friends for few minutes if i'm not interested in getting laid by her and can use her as peacock to attract other females.. I mean what do you get from that friendship apart from being an emotional tampon? Can she fix your car? Can i call her a pot-head among my mates and not feel angry? If you weigh the advantages of being friends with both gender, you will realize that it is not disrespect but rather the cons outweigh the pros.
