Side note i think it would be great if we turned mgtow into a positive thing by promoting a community between typical males Simply acknowledge eachother more and hope it leads a trend of positive interaction with eachother. Ile keep a $5 bill and 5 1$ bills on me at all times incase someone is in need and ile be able to provide that love. Read a post earlier about someone having a bad day and some bystandard left some money in the door handle to pay for the mans ice cream. $5 can mean thousands in those situations

I've been on my way of quitting my job and retiring in couple of months. However, with this new COVID Delta crap going on, there is a chance of me "working" from home again or being sent straight to unemployment which would be ideal. My apartment lease is expiring in two and a half months so I have to tell them whether or not I intend to renew it in two weeks and I do not know what to do. Decisions, decisions...

TL; DR:- why the lack of content focusing on self-responsibility /self-accountability in MGTOW spaces?

alright lets start with my situation

so i'm a student right now studying from home and recently I got a chance to represent my country in an international level competition and won a bronze medal for my country.
got success there

next up I wish to vent out a little about my family situation
how is it that my dad fails so many shit-tests? damn
literally my mom insulted him like "your son is more of a man than you" and he still panders to her a lot
this made me realise how dependent i've been on my parents and i'm looking for ideas to get myself out of this co-dependent mindset

and last but not the least personally i'm sick of some of the blame game that goes on sometimes in MGTOW spaces for example you will find some MGTOW men spend their time watching videos about the "female wall" and being totally cathartic about it

you will find certain youtubers abusing the tag MGTOW and using clickbait titles with all fluff but no steak within their videos
often these grifters have sexy women in their thumbnails and then they point out bad traits in some women to induce a rage fit in their viewership

and one big criticism I have of MGTOW as one myself is this
no matter how self-deceptive, harmful, idiotic, or dare I say toxic the advice might be for men themselves , if it manages to point out one bad trait about system, or women it tends to be cheered on and appreciated by MGTOW communities (not most of the time or here but i've seen this so many times now i'm sick of it)

this does not mean mods should censor content but it's a indicator that the intellectual entry point in many of these communities is very weak

another big criticism of MGTOW spaces I have is the lack of focus on self-responsibility and self-accountability itself
you would expect that men who have decided on their way would inspire other members to know more about the aspects of their lives that are under their control

i'm not the one to say that the present system is comfortable for men, but i do not think this will take us that far

what IMO us MGTOW men should realise is that TRADITIONALISM is far more insidious of an enemy than PROGRESSIVISM or LIBERALISM

think about it for some time

traditional attitudes try to propagate the false notion that no matter what "men always want sex" and lock men into the role of a provider and protector

conservatives put on a veiled mask of trying to care for men while simultaneously upholding women's role as "damsels in distress" and in "need of help"

and before you sign me off as a covert feminist (aka man-hater) do check my post history

I decided 13 months ago that I needed to take better care of myself and get in shape. I tried jogging but could only make it about 1/4 mile before being so out of breath I had to walk. I was just into the range of being medically obese.

I lost 50 lbs now and this week I hit my target weight which puts me into the healthy category. I’ve been lifting the past year so I don’t end up looking scrawny like I did in high school. More work to do there but pretty happy with my numbers. (400 on deadlift, 390 squat, 210 bench).

Trying to decide what I want to work on next. I can slowly jog 5k without walking now so I might try to get faster. I might try to pick up a sport this fall to add a hobby to keep me busy.

I’m trying to figure out a trade job I could learn in a year and work for myself for 2-3 as I go through school. I want to work with my hands, no more than $5k to become my own, and most importantly I want this job to help me in getting permaculture farm in next 10 years. I thought carpentry—but the job seems hard on the body, or perhaps I’m avoiding to face the the fact that farming life is hard life. What’s your opinion?
