I feel like I've been growing more and more cynical ever since I started reading TRP. Most of this comes from what I've read about never really being able to have emotional support from a woman, because you have to be her "rock." It seems like a loving, caring relationship is impossible at this point, and that everything ends up being a zero sum game. I'll never have a relationship that isn't me being a strong emotional crutch in exchange for sex, is how I see it at this point. A constant battle to keep her with you, in which the slightest slip up is a death sentence.

Is that ultimate conclusion of TRP that relationships outside of casual sexual relationships not worth it? How the hell do you deal with the cynicism from realizing that the one thing that I wanted is something that can't be obtained because of how women apparently are?
