Situation:

  • She's 20, I'm 23.

  • New 'girlfriend' of 2 weeks, very in love with me, great sex, etc.

  • She brings up big-picture stuff earlier than I would have liked.

  • She finds out that I don't want marriage or kids ever (I should have avoided answering these things with "I don't know")

  • She very much wants kids and marriage asap (many of her close friends are already pregnant and have hubbies, so she feels behind the curve in her circle)

  • She has an accident causing serious but not permanent injury and goes home interstate to live with family for a couple months (present time)

  • Now when we talk on the phone she seems very distant and disappointed about the no-kids thing. Doesn't sound enthusiastic about anything while talking to me like she was at the start. Often brings up her pregnant friends and baby family members etc and how she wants to have a typical mom life.

  • I hope these feelings are just a bit of depression caused by the injuries and being in pain all the time, she has too much time to think.

  • I still want to continue the relationship for what it's worth when she returns to my city, because we genuinely get along with zero effort and I like having her around.

What should I do to keep her attached? I wont see her for a few months, it feels like it's a bit fucked. There must be a correct way to go about this. Any answer aside from "Drop the plate and drop the oneitis" would be appreciated.

Thank you TRP.
