Marriage is still seen as men gaining something and women losing something. So many articles present women who don't marry as 'strong and independent'; while men who don't marry 'need to grow up'.

Once we start to see mainstream articles presenting the idea that men not marrying and working on themselves as a good thing, a corner will have been turned. We're still not there yet.

I go with a similar fashion to you. I do t hate women, more power to them, they just add nothing to my life. Whatever dynamic occurred in the past isn’t a thing now.

Women are just suffering from short male syndrome. They’re smaller, weaker, competition, and serve no purpose.

What do they bring to my life? Nothing. I bring money, they bring what? Fat? I’m perfectly capable of using lard to southern fry eggs and grits, I don’t need hers.

I’m a bit of a nerd sometimes. I subscribe to /r/cableporn and work every now and again to get the cables on my stuff looking sharp like that stuff. It goes behind the tv. No one will ever see it. It doesn’t make things work better. But it’s a skill and there’s merit in trying to get better at that. My ex and I talked about it once. She thought I was weird for caring since no one can see it. I realized at that moment and through our discussion that she never tried to develop a skill purely because it was interesting to her. Most of my male friends have some sort of skill they work on developing because it matters to them and them alone.

None of the women I’ve dated ever have, with one exception. I had an ex who really tried to improve her cooking every time she made a repeat dish. Excellent cook and I miss it all the time. She tried to stab me with a chef’s knife, though, so I’ll just miss her food and keep on keeping on.

You have a home, a job, a real degree, and savings. You’re the embodiment of success. Don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise - especially someone who doesn’t have those things.

I live in a well to do area that attracts people looking for the 'the next stage in life' there are a lot of ex trophy wives around here and a lot of affluence. A lot of women here have pretty nice houses. They have good cars and a bank account but they are unable to take care of themselves. They have the interests of teenagers and listen to music made for twelve year olds. They think it's cute that they can't cook. They always make excuses for being out of shape and they slather themselves in makeup. and still they expect to have their asses kissed. They look ten years older than their age and think they should get top tier men. It's not worth it.

I'd go MUCH further than that & say that the relationships are now the synonym to the word "scam" with the men on one side while women and their real shared Daddy-Husband (aka "The State") on the other. That's why the women are pushing for those, BTW....

Same here. I make good money, but the only reason i still work my current job is because it's low stress and only 15 days a month. House is small but completely paid off. The money just piles up while i hike and play video games.

Had a few live in gfs. Last one being a single mom. It got to where i hated to go home to my own house

Same. Got my lazy ass BA without much effort, now im working in social media by reviewing videos all day. It gets me sufficient money and is super entertaining.

Low expenses due to being a happy single bachelor and my bank is filling up steadily while i can get every new console and game + other kicknacks i want to get without worry.

My issue is not lack of money, more lack of free time to enjoy myself even more, heh.

Won't let me tell anything to live differently or "strive to improve" because im perfectly content right now. So everyone can fuck right of with their expectations.

My advice is to try to stop working full-time. If you don't have a wife and family to pay for, you shouldn't really need to. Working 4 days or even less is much more healthy for yourself.

I have a bachelor's degree in a STEM field and women my age seemed to have hit a landslide. They don't skill up, build assets or plan for the future and are generally train wrecks (there are good women out there, but I'm just pointing out the bad).

To be fair there are plenty of men who fall into that trap as well.

The thing is, when some guy loses his job at age 40 due to not staying relevant and adding value, nobody sheds a tear. They're invisible to society. So, it is easy to forget that they exist.

If that were to happen to a woman she'd have a fit, and everybody and their uncle would be rushing in to help her.

This is why you see campaigns to fight the rising teen female suicide rate despite the fact that men that age are still something like 5x more likely to kill themselves and nobody cares about that at all.

At an early age girls are taught that when they cry they will be given what they want, and boys are taught that when they cry they will be punished. This is reinforced throughout life, and as a result adult men actually behave like adults most of the time...

I tend to agree. IMO marriage only existed as a religious requirement to have children. Now-a-days it is socially acceptable to have children out of wedlock. While I sometimes do have the desire to experience companionship with the opposite sex (typically East Asian women), I know that a suitable long-term partner would be incredibly difficult to find as my personal goals do not include procreation, nor are they what most would consider mutually beneficial.

A confidante or casual relationship is the best I can hope for at this point, and that's fine. I do not wish to make someone else feel as though they need to be my partner if it offers nothing and ultimately makes them miserable.

And believe me I have seen how miserable more and more married couples are becoming in this new society.

In addition to this women my age (late twenties/almost 30), have no hobbies except "Me, me, me."

Truthfully I have always wondered why so many women do not have any hobbies outside of social ones like Yoga. This makes it very difficult to find shared interests to bond over.

I felt the same when I did some consulting working in a very affluent area, all the 'yummy mummies' were all the coffee shops with pushchairs chit chatting to their friends in a similar situation. These women are just leeches on blue pilled men... and loads of women are looking for this exact set up, no wonder they dream of their wedding days... it's like guys dreaming about winning the lottery.
