You know how they say everything is fine, until one day it isn't ? Well today is the day for me. Let me give you the context.

I took up a job for around 6-8 months to pay my loan faster and I have all female co-workers for now. I will be moving to another position in a 3 months once the loan is paid, the other position is work on commission and potentially higher pay, but I need this security for now which was the only reason I took this position.

Here's the catch, I earn around 1/4 more than the rest of the workers for the same job, because my official address is at my grandma's place which is some distance away, while I actually live like less than 5 minutes away from work. Today after coming home (it was 2 am because it's a night shift) I saw my co-worker entering the building and of course she looked and clearly she saw me. It just so happens that she basically lives around the corner and can watch me on my balcony, of course she doesn't know that yet, but I do.

I have already found out that some of them don't like that others earn the same amount and put less effort into the work, let alone knowing that someone earns 1/5 more than they do while being a newcomer.

How the fuck do I pull myself out of this shit without making a mess ? Obviously I need to tell some truth because she could see my car being parked there everyday if she wanted to make sure, maybe it's just me being so precise, but I like to have things under control. I was thinking of saying that some family friends have an empty apartment and they let me sleep here if I want to and I actually take the chance some days of the week because either way I do most of my training around town, now with the job being close by it's even better, but that I don't actually live here and can prove it with my passport. Do you think this is a good excuse for semi-intelligent women or do I have to get more creative ? If so, how ?

Many people do this in my country and it has never been a problem because I used to work with mostly men before where there was a certain level of trust between us who knew about these things, in this case I don't trust any of them. Keep in mind, she can't actually prove where I live and neither can my employer.
