No. The "traditional" relationship roles are the female imperative, only subtracted of the freedom to enact hypergamy.

Your clash is about something else. You're having a clash between ideals of social justice and non interventionism, which might somehow relate to the imperatives.

It's really identity politics.

TLDR is because we associate our identity with a side of culture/politics. E.g. "I am a liberal" vs "I have liberal beliefs" or "I am a red piller" vs "I have red pill beliefs"
