I'm assuming you're talking about pick up artistry? Yeah, it's great for picking up girls but only for that, it's no panacea for your life. If you think that's your only issue, you'll probably learn that it wasn't. But anyway.

Have u guys seen success for those who do it?

I have some close friends that got remarkable successes with it. One of them didn't even bother to make himself attractive and still manages to date girls above his league.

They'll basically assess you personality by your picture. You need to look like a handsome hipster, handsome partyboy, handsome chill guy...
It seems to me that more average girls will only observe whether you're handsome or not, but the hotter ones will also assess your style.

Basically my question(s) boil down to what is the answer for an average looking guy. Other than self improvement

People here are averse to pua and game, but truth is, game won't harm you.
Thinking that picking up women makes up for a decent life, on the other hand, has a knack for screwing men up.

Tinder had it's day, you could argue that Bumble is better. Pickup is lame and transparent. The amount of effort put into any of these strategies would be better spent in the gym or sports club where you could meet other people. Not to mention real life is +2 to SMV than tinder

To do any online dating site right, you have to make them want to know more about you. You're profile shouldn't give the standard "i like long walks on the beach and hiking" or "I work as a bla bla bla."

Instead, the write up just needs to make her feel something. I wrote about I'm the only one that gets to see the fireflies blinking in the woods from my bedroom at night - that one got loads of comments about how they wanted to see it too.

The pics are what you use to relay who you are - a decent face pic, some pics of you doing things you enjoy, and a few group pics with your friends, including some attractive women in the group. Maybe one with a dog. You want them to see you're whole body one way or another, if you've got abs, show them off but not in a bathroom selfie.

And the face pic - don't do a selfie if you can help it. When you hold the camera too close, it distorts your features and you look goofy. Instead get someone to take the pic from farther away, but zoom in. And read up on the "Rule of 3rds" for photography. Learning how to frame a good pic is actually pretty useful here.

I have a few different profile pics that always get more responses than others. I've actually experimented with different pics, and it's pretty obvious - a good, well taken and framed, face pic, smiling and cock your head to the side a little, maybe from an angle instead of straight on, with some masculinity in it - and the rest of the profile showing, not telling, and something that makes them want to know more...you'll get responses. The one that gets me the most is one where I'm smiling, and there's a river in a background from a hike I was on. Being 41 and working at a desk, I'll never have awesome abs like when I was 22 again, so I just show a body pic with well fitted clothes. It still looks good and attracts them just fine.
