I know I need to get with an attorney but asking if anyone has a similar experience.
I did my divorcee Pro Se.
I was awarded the house in full but also hit with a lot of alimony and lawyer fees I have not be able to pay yet due to loss of job. now im trying to sell the house and the title company is saying that they need to take out pass due alimony cost at closing or they wont issue the title.
Does this seem right, maybe this is more of legal question than divorce.
Any thoughts would be greatly welcomed.

Arrears from alimony is treated the same way legally as past due child support, so they might be able take it out of whatever money is due to come your way. But my understanding is the proceeds from the sale of a pre-marital asset should be exempt since it isn't income, but liquidating what you already have. But this varies with each state. On something like this I'd consult an attorney, you might be able to find one that doesn't require a full retainer. Either way I'd definitely fight it.
