I'm in beginning stages of divorce. One 5 year old child. Seeking 50/50 equal parenting time. Wife is the higher earner. Wife bought home prior to marriage. I want to buy a small home. In the event that I dont get 50/50, will the courts levy child support in a way that will force me to foreclose on a new home for my child and I? I'm trying to make plans but it seems as though the specter of child support makes that impossible. Any experience in this? New York.
