You can take YOUR kids anywhere you want to until a judge signs an order saying you cannot.

If you're legal parent you can take them until you have a court order....BUT it might not be the best legal starting point unless you can justify taking them. ie abuse, neglect, etc.

More scrutiny is given to men trying to take the kids away from mom. If you're switching residences set up rooms for them and get prepared.

Come up with a custody schedule that is equal 2-2-3 etc. Amount of time doing daily routines are an important factor, but it's not enough to take custody away from mom. Unless their is abuse you will be looking at close to 50/50, 60/40 etc. It will deflect a lot of criticisms if you start off trying to encourage a relationship between the boys and their mom.

Take the kids, but also hire a lawyer right away to start the discussion with her about access schedule, so she's seeing the kids within a week or two. A couple of weeks of a parent not seeing a kid is nothing in family court.

You are the parent, just like the mother. I wouldn't leave the state though, but you can "take" them. Don't deny the mother from seeing them without a real reason.
