I am trying to decide on the best way to let my wife know that I want out. I know if I just flat out tell her it will be a battle from the start. We have fought about this in the past and it wasn't pretty. I have a friend who suggested leaving a letter. I'm not sure how that will go over either.

I have been writing a separation agreement that I would like to give her. In the agreement I list everything I want to take, which isn't much, and how I will help her. She currently doesn't work and would not have health insurance. I would agree to be separated for a while until she finds a job and Insurance then we file the divorce. I would also agree to be around to help with our daughter who has a special need. I know I'll be paying her money for a while and I want to give her a little more than what the court will give her because of our daughter, but if she fights it then I wouldn't be willing to do that. Of course I would add time tables to everything so she just can't sit back and do nothing.

I just can't do this here anymore. I'm ready to move on after almost 25 years ...and I need to get out soon before I go crazy.
