Hug her.

Don't talk or try and reason with her. Hold her and let her cry in your chest. She needs you to be her rock and hold frame.

Don't cry with her. Don't try and explain or make it better. Just hug her. Within a few minutes of hugging me and crying, my LTR is smiling. She'll work it out in her own mind or with her gf's.

The beta males are trained to be too eager. As soon as something like this happens, they fall all over themselves to show what amazing people they are, offer every support, listen to hours of the girl's upset diatribes about this, and in the end just end up emasculated. They end up making it all about themselves, how wonderful and helpful they are; the girls feel it on some level, and are incredibly irked by this - it was supposed to be about HER!

You're in good shape if instead of going that route, you display a kind of solid, immovable quiet. No eagerness, no prostrations, let HER run to you for that hug herself, and THEN be warm, sweet to her. Don't allow the "woe is me" to go on for too long, you want to give her approximately just enough time for one full cycle of "woe is me's", and when you sense they're starting to repeat you leave (because you're busy, but you leave affectionately, telling her to wait for you or whatever, make her anticipate that you're coming later & will make her feel much better again).

Don't try to help or solve her problems with smart advice, just being there and being you is the greatest gift.
