While it may have a pro-female bias (shock, horror), I think books "When Men Behave Badly" (link to Steve Pinker's review) seems an important milestone in getting rid of the radical reductionism that gender is 100% nurture. Problems are unlikely to be fixed if we deny a large part of their cause.

The idea that gender is 100% nurture is only held by fools and has been well and truly falsified. Getting rid of it requires firstly that they relinquish folly.

A large part of their cause is not 'blankslatism', it is the women are wonderful effect that people such as Pinker and Buss demonstrate. Pinker said that we don't need more shelters for abused men in his book, and I doubt that Buss would even say something about the subject. Whatever your opinion about gender diferences are, saying that this book will help the cause is shooting at your own foot and say that you are treating your ingrown toenail.
