While it may have a pro-female bias (shock, horror), I think books "When Men Behave Badly" (link to Steve Pinker's review) seems an important milestone in getting rid of the radical reductionism that gender is 100% nurture. Problems are unlikely to be fixed if we deny a large part of their cause.
