You do realize she committed a felony right? Tampering with food is considered a felony, also she made the store throw away hundreds of dollars of merchandize because they couldn't locate the exact ice cream she placed back on the shelves.

Its not about being held accountable for others actions, its called setting an example to discourage others from trying similar things, especially if you were the one everyone was following suit in the first place. But the fact that prosecutors said she could get 20 years was scare tactics obviously if she got less than 2 months for doing this.
