Hey, This is my first time posting to this subreddit so be gentle :) I'm 19 years old and I'm an Indian-American college student.

I Never had a girlfriend in high school. It's not that I'm unattractive (average looking, and people say I look like an olive skinned Mr. Bean) maybe just a bit awkward and cowardish some times with people. I have been hitting the gym (slowed down recently due to the rain and midterms).

Right now I'm in college but am at a commuter school and am not in a social fraternity, so parties aren't really a good option for me. I do have friends from a service fraternity that I am in, but everyone keeps their fraternity and personal lives seperate.

There aren't that many clubs on my campus and most of them are focused on a certain major or race (Nursing students or Hispanic students). One option is Anime club.

I approached college classmates and tried to ask them out and one of these usually happen. - They have their headphones in or are texting/using their phones. - They talk to their friends and are reluctant to have outsiders come in (This is week 8 of Winter quarter, and the next quarter will start in mid March). I really want to start dating so does anyone have any tips for getting started when you're in college? How does Tinder work for guys who look slightly average?

How do I make myself more desirable to women? How should I know when to ask for a number or when to flirt? I'm like a lost puppy :( Please, any advice would be much appreciated.

TL;DR - No idea on how to approach dating in college.

Edit : I am going for any woman I am attracted to, regardless if she is Blonde, brunette, Asian, Hispanic, Persian etc.
