BHOPAL: A 30-year-old woman in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh served poison-laced food to her husband and relatives and eloped with a distant relative while all were unconscious. Neighbours of the victims found them unconscious and rushed them to a hospital and informed the police.
For the last four days, the Bhind cops are on the lookout for the accused woman and her paramour.
In his complaint, husband of the accused woman claimed that she served poison-laced food to the nine members of his family on Saturday evening. After consuming the food all went unconscious and the neighbours informed the police and got them hospitalized, he said.
Five of them were discharged after primary treatment while four are in the critical care unit.

So depending on the fate of the 5 in critical care, it may be murder.

But police in India can only arrest a women during the day, if they find her she might still escape. I know that the Indian judicial system is as anti-male as everywhere else, but I wonder what sentence one might expect should she be convicted.

I'm Canadian. My ex-wife poisoned me, left me for dead then emptied the house while I was at the hospital. She claimed in court that she was fearful for her life when the shit came back to her. The judge cleared her of wrong doing 🤦‍♂️
