I have primary custody of my son and filed child support on his father.
Currently his father doesn't pay for anything. His father takes him every Tuesday.
I need more help with him so I asked him to take our son every Monday as well.
Will this have any bearing on child support. He definitely does not have him 50% of the time.
Edit: Ex refused to help Mondays so I guess this doesn't matter anyways. I asked because he told me if he DID help, he would petition to get child support reduced but I didn't think it worked that way.

As usual, the default r/childsupport subreddit doesn't disappoint when the mailbox mom thinks she can game the system for money...
She says this..
This actually means "I want more money from his father" which she follows up with...
And we see the actual reasoning and rationale... They want money and that's it, they want to game the system to screw the father out of parenting time and money.

I don't think it is that she wants more money from him, she is already getting the maximum amount she can at this stage. She wants to keep the money she is getting while not having to take care of the child as often.
If she is genuinely needing help, wanting the father to have more time with the child and it not being about the money then she should not be concerned about it affecting her payments.

You don't understand how child support obligation payments are calculated, do you...

I am all over how CS is calculated, here in Aus at least, as I was paying CS until CPS and the courts handed me full custody.

Wait, so you're a father with primary custody... In Australia... you live in the upside down land of wallabies and kangaroos!
No wonder you don't grasp the significance, the toilets flush backwards and you don't understand how screwed the US system is because you've been living in a land with no 2nd amendment rights and the crown deciding everything you can do on a daily basis.
The outback isn't comparable to the US and you've got an entirely different fight on your hands down under, we can't speculate on the laws or the application of them because we're focusing on there United States in this subreddit. We appreciate the input but it doesn't apply to us... We threw your tea in the harbor

She's wanting to restrict the fathers visitation time and alter the 50/50 custody agreement and her apparent sole motivation is she "needs more help"... She states this clearly and there's no other information available, we don't speculate here therefore her only motivation is monetary based upon her own statement.
Is she unable to care for the child with her current finances? If that's the case then the father should be awarded custody, they shouldn't be attempting to have the child more often to get more money from the father.
If I can't support myself with my current profession I'm not going to demand someone else hand me money, I'm going to fix my life. This is the broken family court system, this mother is abusing the broken system as a crutch instead of supporting herself.
I'm not sure what your motivation is here but clearly you don't grasp the basics of the failed family court system and the child support obligation payments forced upon father's to support the mother. When she herself decided to end the relationships, resulting in the requirement to raise a child alone instead of continuing the parental relationship in conjunction with the father, she chose to make a life altering decision upon her own.
The family court has been created to support these individuals through forced slavery of the fathers when they would otherwise be completely open to continuing the family relationship. This father didn't end the relationships, she did, therefore it's completely inappropriate to demand the father pay her to support her lifestyle and the child should be placed with the father.

I mean no disrespect but I think you misread what she wrote. She stated that it is "definitely not 50/50". The father only sees the child on a Tuesday because he doesn't want any other days. This means that he is paying the full amount of support possible and she is worried that if he takes on another day to "help" her out, then it might bump his time up into the next % bracket which will decrease how much CS she recieves.

No, she states that the father only sees the child on certain days and she's pushing for an increase to her monetary obligation based on this statement.
We only have half of the story and the father likely has a completely different view of the circumstances therefore this female is attempting to adjust the parenting time based on her initial statement which is based solely on money and not based on anything else ...
This is why context is important and why these posts are a window into the ideology of the parent, if she was concerned with the child welfare that would be the first point... It's not, the first point is the finances and she attempted to justify this though other methods later in the post.
She's looking for more money, she's trying to become a mailbox mom and she's got your support somehow... If this was a normal criminal case the prosecutors office would be calling you out because you're showing bias, she's obviously acting towards her own self interest and using the system to her monetary advantage.

It’s not gonna work. Texas does not do 50/50 parenting (yet). Texas guidelines are 20% of net, plus medical support (no more than 10% of net). It doesn’t matter how much the “other parent” sees the child.

Nothing wrong here.
She has filed for CS but he currently pays nothing suggests its a new break up.
He only has kid on tuesday and she is asking for extra help with child care hence asking for him to have kid monday as well.
As she has filed the papers I presume she put down he has kid tuesdays and is worried that it will change things him having kid extra day (turns out doesn't matter in texas.)

She wants the Father to take the kid 2 days a week instead of 1. How is that restricting his visitation?
lol.
