So as a woman I see a few red flags. If what the sisters say happened then why....

The original case thrown out with no charges
They lost friends over the accusations
They turn to social media not file a lawsuit
They have to pay for almost all legal fees or service when they get sued for defamation
The judge didn’t shut down his lawsuit for defamation

It makes me wonder why no one has gotten the answers for those. I believe in consent guilt (guilt over consenting to something that could be an embarrassment or loss of positive reputation if found out; a way to hide consensual involvement)

I'm not really sure what to think of this case. On the one hand, the police dropped the case. On the other hand, they only dropped the case because, according to this article, the plaintiffs and the defendant agreed upon a settlement where the plaintiffs could talk about their 'experience' and continue their allogations as long as they did not name or reveal his identity in any, shape, or form.

So... was this really a false accusation? Because while it is obvious that the plaintiffs didn't have enough evidence to pursue the case (in the opinion of the police) they must have had significant evidence in hand for the defendant to consider making such an agreement with them as opposed to outright denying the allogations and holding his ground.

That said... the plaintiffs, regardless of whether or not the defendant had actually sexually assuaulted them, deserve the lawsuit - they made a legally binding agreement with the defendant and have now reneged on it.
